What does "offline-first" actually mean?
EVRST runs natively on your machine with no internet connection required. The application, your data, and all transactional logic operate locally. You only need internet if you explicitly enable Google Drive backups or check for software updates.
How does the one-time payment work?
Pay once for a lifetime license per machine. No monthly fees, no annual renewals, no surprise price hikes. Future minor updates (3.x) are included. Major version upgrades (4.x) are optional and discounted for existing users.
Where exactly is my data stored?
In a single SQLite file atC:\Users\<you>\EVRST\evrst.db. The file is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and fully portable, copy it to USB, NAS, or email. You can open it with any SQLite browser for verification.
Can I migrate from another system?
Yes. EVRST accepts CSV imports for customers, products, and historical invoices from most popular systems. The migration tool walks you through field mapping, and our support team reviews edge cases for free.
What happens if I cancel or stop using it?
Nothing. You own the data file forever. EVRST will still open and read your historical data even without an active license. There is no kill switch, no remote wipe, no expiry on your data.
Do you offer multi-user / team licenses?
Yes. One license runs on one machine with a single business profile, and supports multiple users with customizable roles (Manager, Supervisor, Cashier, Viewer) and a full audit log. Multi-branch / multi-location sync is on our roadmap - get in touch if you plan to scale.
